2008 Event

The second annual Respect Life Relay in Russia was again a successful event, with several hundred participants turning out over the course of the day.

The Relay, which took place Friday, July 18, was a day-long series of games, displays, and presentations, all designed to raise awareness of and support for the pro-life cause.

Almost 4,000 white crosses were erected in a field near the cemetery to signify the number of abortions performed each day in the United States.

The event culminated with talks by Karla Eberle of Harbor Life Ministries in Norwalk, about her mission of helping pregnant teens, and Pastor Mike Spencer of Grace Missionary Church in Celina, an insightful assessment of the pro-life movement in America.

Thank you to Connie McEldowney and all the volunteers for their outstanding efforts in organizing the Relay, and to Mary Jo Puthoff, Laura Counts, Nicki Voisard, and Karen Rosenbeck for helping to staff the RTL booth.
